Feeders are maintained by Scouts at INP in cooperation with the City of Moncton. What a wonderful opportunity to see woodland
birds in the winter, and feeding is a great Saturday morning activity. The trail is well used by other bird watchers in the
City. Chickadees are most common, but we have also observed nuthatches, yellow finches, Hairy and Downey wood peckers, purple
finches. As of mid January the Red Poles have yet to arrive. There is an abundance of squirrels and Alex found a porcupine
track under the feeders.
Scouts made up suet cakes before Christmas and these make great treats for woodland birds. There are peanut butter feeders,
Black Oiled sunflower seed silos, Niger seed silos, and platform feeders.
The trail is two kilometres long.
