The IRON SCOUT HIKE is a time honoured tradition at St. Michael's. The first Iron Scout Hike was in 1991, and resulted in
many lost Scouts, blistered feet, sore knees, lost leaders, wet boots, muddy pants, and a commitment NEVER to do it again.
Hence, we have trekked this same trail annually since 1993, and our Iron Scout hike has yet to prove itself an easy trek.
April 30, 2005 - This year there was not much snow...well, maybe enough for one last snow ball fight...it was a wimp
of a winter! The hike was a dash... on the trail at 7:30 a.m... the ridge by 10:00. The second half of the trip was completed
in a record 90 minutes.
There were tired Scouts (and Leaders) at the end of the 16km trail. Great job Iron Scouts!
