Iron Scouts!

The IRON SCOUT HIKE is a time honoured tradition at St. Michael's. The first Iron Scout Hike was in 1991, and resulted in many lost Scouts, blistered feet, sore knees, lost leaders, wet boots, muddy pants, and a commitment NEVER to do it again. Hence, we have trekked this same trail annually since 1993, and our Iron Scout hike has yet to prove itself an easy trek.

Happy Birthday Dominque! 50!

April 22, 2006 - What surprises there are! After a mild winter and spring, this year's Iron Scout hike was like a mid winter trek with snow and ice over most of the trail. Thanks goodness as it turned out we had to track down and retrieve a few over ambitious scouts who decides to head down the wrong path. The first part of the hike was a dash... on the trail at 7:30 a.m... the Ridge by 10:30 a,m. The second half of the trip was not so fast due to snow...and lost scouts. Home at 5:00 p.m., very tired.

Garth was just a little bit upset after walking

an additional 3 km to find these Scouts!
