A taste of winter in spring!

From Cody!

The Senior Scout hike on March 23-25, 2007 was fun and tiring. We hiked 4km to the campsite, half way there we had to make a rope bridge over a stream in order to cross. When we got to Tracy Lake we put up the tarps and put out our sleeping bags. To get water we had to cut a hole in the lake and get our water from there. The night at the lake was cold! A couple hours after we went to bed we heard this grunting sound and branches snapping, it turned out that all the sounds we heard was coming from a moose. The next morning we left a little late so we crossed the lake to save 10 minutes, when we came to the stream Garth, being crippled with only the use of one hand, decided to walk on the rocks across the stream, they were wet and icy and Garth fell in! Even though he said he was tired and decided to lay down to rest. We all know what happened!
